34 in a 30 that was a 40, that went back to being a 40 few months later, right piss take 3 points 80 quid doh
been flat out on all my sports bikes, suspect most have, but then been caught at 34 in a 30 and all silly stuff like that and 84 on a motorway , beggers belief some coppers
Keith, you should get that cloaking device fixed, most people replace the two yellow wires running from it with thicker ones and a bigger aluminum heat sink also helps.
What, that they did their job and caught you then gave you a ticket! All the times I've been done, and there's been a few, it's been my fault. Poor observation and just going too fast when I know I shouldn't have been. The only person I was pissed at was me, not the old bill for giving me a ticket for being stoooopid!
103 on a dual carriageway. 28 day ban and a hefty fine. Could've been 6 months for totting-up so I was happy
Been flat-out on RNAS Yeovilton's runway quite a few times on different bikes, and in a couple of Porsches too. Organised runway runs were a great opportunity before senior management became totally spineless and risk averse, and now won't let it happen. I've found that unorganised ones very early on bank holiday Monday mornings are just as much fun, with some added adrenaline from knowing that I need to get a couple of runs in and then out of the gate without being caught! Seen 186mph on an optimistic speedo before, and was only the 2nd fastest bike there!!!
Call me a freak, but I love playing with the traffic. Nothing I like better than a fast blast through the capital. Sure it can be dangerous, and possibly irresponsible, but shit man, I ain't a diplomat, I'm just here to have fun.
just my opinion nick, but yes think its petty and anti bike really, yep they are just doing there job and all that, once dated a police sargeants daughter for a few years, you really should have seen the state of him getting out of his car sometimes after getting back from the police club, they look after there own, one rule for them, one rule for us, personally if i was a cop i would be leaniant towards bikes, because i love them so much, that would be wrong also
Fastest seen on the clocks without being caught and fully legal was on a german autobahn and my Blade RR-W showed 196mph during the nano-second I looked at it....true road speed was probably about 165mph but it looked good at the time and was legal
top speed : 307 kph - Lambo gaillardo  top speed caught : 182 in 120 place..:frown: getting caught + tickets : far to often , i pay them in stacks... 95% expired P-meters or 44 in a 40 mph spot ....
98 MPH in my Black JPS Special 3.0L S early 80's on the M5. Stopped by a marked Police car and probably deserved the ticket for being stupid enough not to check my mirror and spot a jam samwich following. Being older and slightly wiser I just pick my time and place a little more carefully to open the bike up
On my Fireblade i had a close call years ago, Boxhill to Whiteways the scenic route. When the unmarked Mercedes stopped me they told me they couldn't get a fix on my speed i was going so fast. Seems stupid really, but riding at warp factor 9 was my saving grace that day. Nowadays i don't go over 70/80mph anywhere, even on motorways, unless i gotta keep up with other Monsters on a ride out, i ride very sedately on my own. Joys of a 53bhp 600 Monster!
Got pulled doing 36 in a 30 at 4am. The road had just been dropped from a 40 (and became more dangerous as a result) the cop saw I was braking very hard, so gave me a bollocking and sent me on my way. A few years later the road was reduced to a 20 limit, and someone was subsequently killed. Problem is there is an upper school on the road, and cars traveling at 20 just don't look like a threat, so the kids (13 to 18) walk out in front of them.
A316 leading onto the M3. This is a motorway by any other word and the only reason it has a 50mph limit is cos the council can't be arsed to sort out the shite road surface. Anyway, they had roadworks there, and because it was a 50 limit they had to drop it to 30. Bloody ridiculous. Muggins here got done for 36 in a 30, but I can't complain, cos I never dipped below 80 through the roadworks...
