Ducati 888 Biposto

Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by farmster, Oct 20, 2017.

  1. There was one on gumtree a couple of months ago for 4650 if I remember correctly.
    Import with maybe 35km.
I posted the link in the for sale section.

  2. I expect most people who have a computer do the same: check out eBay for whats priced there.
Then they think 'wow! its worth 10k! I was thinking only 4k!' then proceed to out up for 9k.

  4. Can't remember, think it was Coys, linked on a recent thread on here when discussing Bonhams where one went for silly money.

  5. Hmmmm that's lovely
What model Sp is that ? Gorgeous condition !

  6. This is so true! As I've a vested interest I've been watching a few on eBay. There's quite a few around the £6-6.5k mark but they stay advertised and you see the same bikes keep showing up for sale over and over. What do they actually sell for, if indeed they sell?

I believe the 851/888 are one of those bikes lots of people say they want one but not many will put "their money where their mouth is". Despite that, it seems that owners do seem to like them and stick with them.

  7. Good article in Classic Buyers Guide magazine on the 851 mainly but later bikes too.
Worth a look, just bought it from Tesco
    October edition

  8. What photos have they used? The Practical Sportsbike ones showed up in the MCN review a while ago. If it's the same photos I will definitely get a copy!

  9. Its the strada with some very nice bits, seat units carbon painted with the number 1 showing the carbon and cast disks, didn't want to post anything till it was in van, was worried someone would beat me to it lol

  10. Not sure, a few historical ones. Article is written by Alan Cathcart. Will be worth a read.
21 pages are Ducati in all.

  11. I'm buying 1 because I've always liked them, And next year for the first time in 27 years I'll be going to the TT in a van with my pani & the 888
So at least if 1 breaks down I can ride the other 1

  13. Where did you buy that Jack ?

  14. Wasn't advertised, I was looking through the 888 facebook page and some guy had advertised one for sale in south Italy, I commented that if it had been in uk ide of had it, The guy that I bought it of had commented and said he may have one for sale shortly so I got a PM to him asap, Tbh I kept it all quiet as I know theres a few looking for them just now and didn't want to loss out, Luckly the bike wasn't to far away, (couple hundred miles away in Aberdeenshire) Tbh shes a lot cleaner than I expected, Very good condition, I got every original part with it aswell which was a bonus and its had a full service including belts, fork seals etc, whole stack of paperwork
