Winter Gloves

  1. I use RST heated gloves, battery powered, great down to about 5 degrees, can feel cool below that but never actually cold even down to 0 degrees, battery’s last 2 hours on full heat, I carry spare batteries if I’m out longer.

  4. I ride all year, with nothing more than my trusty old buffalo gloves, but currently still using summer gloves. So..... Big girls blouse

  6. It's difficult I know, but just try. Obviously it helps by not posting threads highlighting you're a big girls blouse and then you can be :p

  7. Honestly Wayne there’s no point me trying, no matter what I did I’m sure I could never get close to being as tough as you are, I’m just sitting here now thinking about someone being able to ride in October in the UK wearing summer gloves!, it’s incredible, I mean the that’s just amazing, really exceptional, I think I’m in awe of you to be honest, tell me, when you pull up at places do other bikers comment on your gloves?, they must do I suppose, anyway, just WOW!.
Oh yes and thanks for the advice on not posting weird things like “I wear RST heated gloves”, I see what you mean now I’ve had time to think about it......so you’re not only tough your intelligent and wise as well, as the Americans would say “you’re one hell of a guy”, thanks again:)

  10. Oh I’m not so sure, there’s someone on this forum called Wayne that says if you wear heated gear your a big girls blouse, he seems really intelligent so I’m having a rethink

  15. Thanks for the update Bob.

Funny enough, I popped into GetGeared in Leatherhead last night and tried a pair on with my Rev'It Poseidon jacket. Was a little bit of a faff to get them on properly, but not as bad as I was expecting. I'm sure it'd be easier with a bit of practise. The upside is that I can see them being warm and dry in the wettest conditions. I thought they were really well made and designed, and will be treating myself to a pair for my birthday next month.

  16. Im obviously a huge girls blouse too, i use Gerbing heated gloves. The multi DVT has the heated grips now, but always found heated grips a bit of an oxymoron. Why heat the palm of your hand when its the front of your fingers that get cold? I reserve judgement as the Multi has hand guards so i will see how it all works out.
I did a ride to Norway 2 years back and NO WAY would i have made it without the girlie Gerbing heated clothing, socks, body warmer and gloves as i suffer bad with cold feet and fingers as a result of my days in the Royal Marines....i can think of nothing worse than hot ache and freezing extremities

  17. Like some of you, I too am a big girl (have even been known to use hair products and moisturiser). As Andy (bin trafficker) said it’s the front/tips of fingers that suffer. I had heated grips, hand guards and muffs on the monster.
Never had cold hands again and suited my femininity to boot!
