Very clever mate, I'm hugely impressed, spot on attention to detail, I particularly like the belt covers and the whole retro theme, I take my hat off to you sir, keep up the fabulous work.
Two minutes on the road and they will be brown again - cheap stainless steel is wot Ducati used. Get the damn things coated in something.
Mine were 20 years old - cleaned up fairly well, but they went brown PDQ so I used Sperex VHT silver grey on them - I think it was about £8.00. Note: Full fairing was before I did the paint job on it.
My mistake I thought you were talking about ceramic coating. Didn't know that paint would stick to stainless, learn something new everyday. Nice looking SS btw.
Spent my last 3 days off getting the engine cleaned up. Threw a few coats of paint on this morning. Next job is to get the casings polished.
5 and a half hours spent in the shed today, polishing. All that I've got to show for it is a valve cover, and the majority of the clutch casing.
Hopefully I'll get the frame, and wheels back from the sprayer next week. The engines just about ready to go back in. View attachment 102832
Got the frame, and wheels back from the sprayer this morning. Now I can crack on with the most enjoyable part of the project.....bolting shiney bits together.
