Hey forum, I'm searching for for the correct engine paint for my Multistrada 1200 Enduro. I recently scuffed and scratched the paint on the engine case with my Sidi adventure boots and have made a make-do with a R&G racing engine case cover. It's OK but I prefer to repair the scratch properly and I also don't want the UK winter to make it worse. I have posted some pics of the damage on another thread. https://www.ducatiforum.co.uk/threads/sidi-adventure-boots-scratch-paintwork-on-engine-casing.54947/ You can see the engine case cover that I placed over the scuffed paintwork. I would like to get the damage repaired properly. However, I have no idea what the paint colour scheme is and getting information out of Ducati is like pulling teeth. I have attached a couple of swatches that I have got from other forums and the closest match is either the: Grigio Steel: PPG 223.647/LECHLER 539.5013 Grigio Metallic: PPG 0011A I have contacted RS Bike Paint but unless they see the bike then its impossible to get the colour match. I also asked my dealer but they also drew a blank. Any help or thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance Neill
I appreciate this is a shit answer, but can a main dealer not advise you of the paint code, and order it ??
I managed to track down a phone number I had for DucatiUK so I gave them a call. Rather bizarrely but great news nonetheless they were aware of my predicament and we’re already on the case even before I had contacted them - Big Ducati brother is watching!! I’ll keep the forum posted on any updates
I have received further information from Ducati UK with regards to the engine paint for code the Ducati 1200 Multi Enduro. They emailed Ducati directly in Bologna and this was their reply: "MTS Enduro CL cover paint code BOND PE/HD FTX 1306 Anod DUC paint code 37344, (Inver)." Doesn't mean much to my eyes so have asked for further clarification from Ducati UK. Anyone from the forum able to shed any light on this?
