My bike was registered in 96.I have spoken with the original owner who bought it pretty much as it is today. He confirmed the spec.when bought (Ohlins rear etc.)I have all of the history, including photographs of the damage he did when dropping it on the track at Rockingham !One lap was enough he said. This is my third Duke,I’m trying to improve it.Thanks again, Neil
I’m trying to locate a new LHS panel decal to match the bike’s originals. The bike was one of ten destined for California and Hi-jacked by Hoss Elm of Moto Cinelli or he would revoke his major dealership franchise for lack of new bikes. The USA bikes all had Ohlins rear shocks as standard.I may have got lucky, the decal arrives on Tuesday from Holland. Many thanks for your help.
Hi Kev,I’m a new member here and I saw your pic.of your SP3 panels. My Strada is a 95/96.I described it as such because many of the components on the bike have the elephant cast into them with 95 also. The wheels, the cylinder head castings, the brake callipers are all marked 95.Are the panels in the pic.are marked as 95 or 96,and are the decals originals or have you replaced them at any time ?
It's a '96 SP3 - owned from new. Original parts, and all original paintwork and decals (minor work but no respray). No elephant as this was earlier. I would need to take panels off to check dates but I suspect they are 95/96. K
