Hi Rob, just wondering, in your world of detailing, do you ever have to touch up stone chips? I have a soul red mazda with a few chips on the bonnet and was after some expert advice on how to go about sorting them, cheers if you can help, stu(evostu)

      Evening rob,
My wife has a convertible mini which we brought brand new back in 2015,the roof started to look a bit tired knowing that you detail cars and i found a post of what you recommend and using the method you suggested, well this weekend we gave it a go and it worked a treat I also waxed the car again with a wax you recommended just got to now tackle the seat
So a massive thanks rob for your recommendations

Hi Rob,,, This IPA,,diluted,, is it ok for cleaning/degreasing all paintwork or should I be a bit wary around some forms inc carbon?

      Thanks
      Rick

Hi Rick....the diluted IPA is perfect for decontaminating all paintwork inc carbon to remove all oils, fillers etc from your clearcoat before application of a wax or sealant or ceramic coating....it is NOT a 'general' degreaser......if you are after a general degreaser for cleaning engine components, wheels etc then Bilt Hamber Surfex HD is hard to beat.....again this can diluted to suit.

      Hi Rob,

      Please to meet you :D

Seen you posting very insightful information around the forums. Could you perhaps please share some detailing pictures and ping over prices for a full detail on Ducati Hypermotard SP.

      Much Appreciated.

      Cheers,
      Marcus

Hi Rob,, Just looking at the BH clay bar,, I've only some very light scratches and swirls on the bike, which version would you rate to take them out before I wax it, also what's best for the carbon? I don't want to go over the top with the detailing just to preserve it and keep it looking pretty reasonable
      Cheers pal

Hi Rick...Chemical Guys BLUE mild clay...NOT Bilt Hamber...you MUST use PLENTY of lubrication when claying ( Car Shampoo & Water ) only use light pressure on the clay...you'll hear it and feel it as it picks up contaminants....don't know what you are asking regarding ' Carbon '....cheers Rob

Hi Rick....yes use the Bilt Hamber double speed wax on your carbon no problem....its coated in a ' clearcoat ' like your painted panels....

If you wait an hour after the first coat of wax you can add a second...this will protect the underlying layer of wax and increase the durability.
