Never had a speeding fine on a motorcycle.... somehow.
Started on a Suzuki GS 250cc which I bought in exchange for a Triumph Spitfire in 1978.
Owned and rode a Norton fastback 750 from about 1979 as a 19 year old. I rode everywhere and anywhere, and maintained it for several years including engine rebuilds. Learn't a lot about engine rebuilds, tuning etc.. etc.. Great adventures. Even did dispatch riding for two months in London on it. Alas, no longer in my possession, I sold it in order to travel abroad for a good while, thinking I would just get another one later.
Perhaps my most enjoyable riding was on an enfield on long routes across unmade Indian roads.
I like twins and dancing through the bends on British A or B roads.
Never had much in the way of kit - restarted to using skateboard knee pads in the winter to keep my knees warm, instead of a fairing. I like the Ducati concept of keep it light.
