Had the battery disconnected on the 2013 Multistrada 1200s today to fit exact cables and the dash returned to default settings,ie kph,litres etc.Followed the manual to reset to mph,gallons etc but couldn't get in to the menu.Every time I pressed the appropriate buttons to get in to the menu,the dash displayed "oil change 12057".Any one got any ideas on how to get in to the menu?Thanks.
No idea mate, sounds like a visit to the dealers I reckon, just to have it all reset, unless that monkey @Exige has any ideas ??
It's usually free just to pop to a dealer and have it all reset, I did it with my 2014 when the PIN was deleted, sorry cant be more constructive, but I don't remember how to do it on that dash. Someone will be along soon no doubt. Good luck
"Pressed the appropriate buttons" eh? If you would care to state which buttons you think are the appropriate ones, in detail, we would be glad to tell you whether you are right. Or not.
There would appear to be two possibilities: (A) You are doing it wrong. (B) There is a defect in your bike's system. If you are sure that you are doing it right, so that (A) does not apply, then we are left with (B). Visit to a dealer I'm afraid.
Are you holding the buttons long enough? Ignore the 3 seconds in my experience and hold til units appears.

Most would have made up some bull to cover for the dickish mistake. Oh the dealer said the BLT drive on my Swigger Unit was duffed up.
