  1. Can someone give me the front suspension high from the yoke to the top of the chrome part, how many rings are showing and a photo would be good too

  2. That looks low. I have 3 rings from memory

  3. I dropped the forks by 5mm on mine and also chucked on an 85nm spring on the rear ......then I sold her ????? WTF

  4. 3 on mine too!

  5. Whoops!

  6. Reminds me.... Where's the best place to get a new ohlin spring?
Are they loads? £££! And why oh why were the stock ones rated so flippin low!

  7. Try JHS in Bristol, they're ohlins dealers. Think springs are about £80. Or you can get them from the states for about $95

  8. Local Ducati dealer may be able to, mine can

  9. is that on ohlins ?

  10. Showa for mine

if you are going to mess with the height gettng at the yoke bolts is a fecker. Tip given to me was grind down an allen key and then you can access with the airtubes in place

  11. I had the bike lowered by 10mm but feels lower at the front !

    Richie

  12. Who lowered it for you?

  13. Manchester when they fitted the rear adjuster

  14. 10mm all round? You may aswell have bought a harley! You know you only have to put one leg down to keep the bike upright at the traffic lights............

  15. Why's that ?

  16. Mine was as low as yours and lefted at the rear, pu it bak to 3 rings and much better. At least if its low all round you wont get a crick neck ;-)

  17. because the geometry it was designed to be at is all over the place (well 10mm out everywhere). Turn in and will very slow, so the front has ben lwered to try and make up for this. The low front will now not have the grip mid corner, plus the low arse will be wanting to push too. Did they not expain to you what the changes would do?

  18. No, so why do 1098 and 1198 have adjusters as standard ?

  19. There you go, the number of rings all depends how 'you' count really

  20. so they can be moved 1-3 mm on the rear depending on tyre size, tyre type (slicks wets etc) ttemperature, rider preference, how bumpy the track is so forth. Primarily for track use and fine set up. They are NOT there to reduce the ride height for people, only vary it slightly for set up.
