My name is Mike and I live in Canyon Country CA. Yes Canyon Country and it is named that for a reason. I have five different canyons to ride with in two miles of my house. Shear heaven! I have had a bike license for 31 years and have owned too many bikes to count including an RZ350, CB1 400, FZ600, GSXR600, Z1000, R1, FZ8 and now a Duke 690. Hit the internet and look up Bouquet canyon, Soledad Canyon, Spunky Canyon or Sand Canyon rides and see how awesome it is to live in my town. If you are ever in my town look me up [email protected] I ride every weekend. Thank you for reading.
A local in London UK yes. I'll be there in a few months on bikes, I'll give you a shout and you can show us some roads Yeah, spunky canyon sounds funny where I come from, spunky anything in fact. If your surname was Hunt it would be perfect playground material, please change it.
Hello Mike. Closest I've been to California is Vegas. Have you by any chance ever done any sand dune riding? Would love to get out there and try that. Post a pic of a bin please (forum requirement) then you'll be golden
Always down for a ride! Mulholland is always paraded as the holy grail in SO CAL but that road is full of cops and too many squids.
I stopped riding dirt bike along time ago. I started in the dirt as all new riders should. Sand is tricky you need to stay on the gas especially when you think you are going down. I spent a lot of time riding in the desert in my younger years. Unlike the street it is always changing and demands respect and concentration. Lots of fun the last time I rode in the sand I broke my hand. Have at it the fun is worth it.
Welcome Mr hunt from Spunksville. When they say bins, they mean trash cans (PS, good job no children nearby when I googled spunky canyon.....)
It sounds awesome where you live, not too dissimilar from I live. But with less spunk! Welcome to the community
