    3.DUCATI SIDE STAND SAFETY SWITCH NEW 748 996 998 749 999 MONSTER 53910231A | eBay

Could you guys tell me which one i should go for?To me they all sound good!

    Thanks,

    Peter

  2. The first two are acually side-stand bypass harnesses that allow you to start the bike with the sidestand down on some models.

The third one is the actual side-stand switch.

  3. oh yeah, now i know why it is different!Sorry guys for the silly question!

  4. No such thing as a silly question. That's why these forums exist, to help one another. Enjoy the bike!

  5. Looks exactly the same as an Aprilia RSV sidestand switch to me, which in turn is exactly the same as a Honda cbr600's...

  6. I understood you were looking to eliminate the side stand switch??

  7. Hi guys!

Yes i was looking for to eliminate the side stand switch!I sent JHP parts an email and they are gonna make me one for 10 quid+vat and postage!

  8. you can eliminate the side stand switch by joining the 2 wires together that go to and from the switch, sounds easier than giving JHP £10

  9. Is there any need to bypass the switch these days? I know sidestand switches used to be a cause for concern, but that was decades ago, they are far more reliable items these days.

  10. theres no doubt it is a simple fix for connecting two wires together but it does look nicer using a proper connector, although you then really need the proper amp crimp tool....

  11. Plus you need to know what you are doing and i have never even seen how it's done!I'm more then happy paying JHP some money then me getting the tools or screwing it up!

It's a 2002 996 and nobody ever put a bypass on her and i would like to start up without sitting on her!
Don'tknow why ducati didn't think of that solution!

  12. well said buddy..........
