New set here for just over a grand: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/pair-fro...184483?hash=item3af87f21e3:g:fBkAAOSwYmZXMJTL
Those are electronic ones from the S model @Air Duck , he'll not be able to use those on a base model.
Everything I've read only the rear shock can be converted. i really hope I'm wrong as the electronic forks are easier to find than manual. I'm sure I read a thread on here where someone contacted an Ohlin's service centre and they said nope.....Edit, was @Jolley https://www.ducatiforum.co.uk/threads/1199s-ohlins-forks-electronic-to-manual-conversion.45112/
Yes, I spoke to JWS (sorry if that is what it says in the link, I’m too lazy to check). Forks need a whole cartridge kit, but the shock can be converted to manual. I’m also on the lookout and spotted those. Gutted when I spotted they were electronic!
You are looking at £2000+ for an FGR&T 200 series forks...£10000 for FGR300 It will work out a lot cheaper to buy a cartridge kit.
I bought two sets of new 1199R forks and a load of other stuff from Piero Cossu at race-pro.nl last year so might be worth seeing if he has some as they were good value. They buy the new bikes and convert them to superstock so just remove all the parts when new.
Just be aware that base 11/1299 Ohlin's(and that's what a high % of the ones that come up for sale are off)will not fit a 899/959,you will need a the clip on's and top yolk off the base 11/1299 to make it work, bottom yolks are all the same.If you need the top yolk and clips pm me as i have a bling set in the garage.
Hi chaps Thanks for the replies, I have thought of a cartridge kit and will probably go down this route. Just thought I'd see if anyone had a set of forks before I take the kit route, I've already got a TTX shock which is now showing the front end up a bit. I'm on my second set of Marzocchi forks as the first set failed, this set is better but still not right so time to change.
