  1. You'll be in safe hands there (ES Motors). Are you beefing up your turbo's and intercoolers before tunesville?

    I was recorded at 196mph that day through the beams. And climbing..... There's a fairly hard braking point at the end if you want to make the right hander. The sides of my car were covered in brake dust! A fun day and worth a watch but not something I wish to do over and over again... Bit like sky diving.

  2. Kicked my first tyres today, and off for a test drive Sat. Out of my price range, but worth a drive so I can tell the difference with the older vehicles. 06 plate with 113k on the clock 3.8 4S Tiptronic.

    And they have had the car 6 months so you never know....

  4. Indeed, im using mine as my daily, 14000 miles a year atm. Not many supercars you can do that in.

    Ive got the big race do88 intercoolers, their bigger bore Y pipe & boost pipe kit, which apparently alone give a big improvement over the GT2RS / 997.2 turbo stuff. I will more than likely keep the stock turbos if possible, as a new set would cost a few pennies. I will need their exhaust / remap, and as mines a manual it will need the 890 sachs clutch upgrade to handle the power. Just dreading what the insurance company will say. They have said its a 10% premium hike per mod... ...still should make my daily commute a bit quicker!

  5. Yes, much roomier than a boxster (steering wheel angle and size the issue). Didn’t realise they were so wide at the rear wheel arch tbh either. Like the driv8ng position a lot (sat in showroom)

  6. Comfy aren't they?:upyeah::)

  7. 4S is a wide body car, 44mm wider iirc.

  8. Yep like a turbo I believe. Looks nice tho.

  9. Seemed it, and seats fitted me (which would as also a surprise tbh :upyeah: )

  10. Its taken me quite a while to get used to how wide they are and mine is narrower than the turbos. I gave myself a small heart attack when I curbed my fancy new cars rear wheel getting on the channel tunnel last year! Just shelled out to get it resprayed last month.

  11. There is a really nice one, but it’s in Glasgow, a good 400 plus miles away....

  13. I've flown from Stansted to Newcastle once before to buy a car, just knocked the flight and return cost of juice off the price, the seller understood that as it allowed the sale to go ahead

  14. Ahhhhhhh!...........Now I understand my leanings towards Supercharger's.
    And there's me thinking it was all to do with a turbo's lag of power :cool:

  15. Most modern Turbo's have very little lag as they have variable turbine vanes which alter the angle the vane is pitched at (997 turbo for example) :upyeah:

  16. The VGV turbo's do dial a lot of lag out but the power delivery's still not as connected as a NA car (like an R8!). Just gotta keep em on the boil.... which is fun!

  18. I know. Doesn’t put me off if I can trust what I’m being told. But I haven’t bought a usd car for 15 years

  19. I flew to Aberdeen to buy my race van and got mugged off so I dont envy you. Hopefully it's all sorted now many thousands of pounds later but it definitely was not as described and I should have been more careful but it's difficult when it looks great and you just want to head home! I've always believed that you have to travel if you want to get the right vehicle but I guess something should turn up locally if you're patient.
