Does anyone have any experience of sending a parcel to Jersey? I've sold an SS Headlight on EBAY, and slightly annoyingly the buyer is in Jersey and didn't inform me of this before bidding. On the other hand I didn't bother with the message you sometimes see about postage being extra to the Channel Islands etc. I will next time! Anyway, I usually use Hermes, and have never had an issue with them, but they don't cover the Channel Islands. I didn't get a lot for the headlight so don't want to eat into that too much. Can anyone offer some advise on parcel services to Jersey that don't cost the earth like Royal Mail or Parcel Force have quoted. Thanks Nasher.
Royal Mail if a small parcel and under 2kg should be same as mainland prices I think - but try postagesupermarket.com for cheap international packages that are larger
Thanks Exige, but an SS headlight packaged up to withstand Pat and his mates falls into the 2-5Kg bracket and the cost starts to spiral. I might just be able to do it for £14 Nasher
£11.70 via Parcel Force with post office drop off if booked through postagesupermarket.com I tried at 4 kg to get that price but a kilo or so more shouldn't alter the price. You print and label up and the post office give you a tracking receipt when you drop it off.
Have you tried https://www.senditnow.com/ funnily enough it is part of parcel force but seems to have less restrictions and being royal mail/parcel force covers Jersey. I used to send mountain bikes complete for around £15 all over the U.K.
i tend to message the seller if it’s a heavier / bigger item asking them if they are prepared to send here and to get me a postage quote. Doesn’t help you now but might be worth adding a line in your future listings that explains postage quoted is mainland only.
