Hi, has anyone had the fuel remap done by CJS in Bristol with a MIVV Suoni exhaust fitted ? If so what happened to the mpg afterwards ? Thinking of foing down this road and the info would be useful - cheers
Not that but an 848 with Akros. All I can say on mpg is I emptied a tank in 50 miles at an airfield track day, yet did 180 track miles in cartagena on less than 3 tanks. Ok not got the full open throttle as much as the big half mile straight but far heavier braking and accelerating on the proper track with a fairly steep uphill in parts Cant recommend CJS work enough...8bhp and 4 more torq and almost perfect AF ratio compared to a DP chip
No data sorry but would be interested any hearing any comments as I am going to fit the same with the addition of a high flow air filter & power commander.
Chris did my Suono decat set up last year. Any improvement in MPG was marginal. It's currently doing between 40 and 44 mpg. No data on any other improvements as I went for the cheap option: not a bespoke tune-up but a copy of somebody else's Suono reflash for £250 instead of the full £500. The main benefit I got was peace of mind that I don't have a very weak mixture wreaking havoc with my engine, though it still backfires every now and then.
MPG after tuning depends on a number of different things. Mostly the MPG stays around the same because in stock trim up to around 15% throttle the bike is too lean then in other areas it can be too rich. So all in all once its corrected the power, torque , smoothness comes through but MPG stays around the same. Usually with the MIVV decat pipes MPG improves a little because the MIVV pipe design gives a stinking rich fuel mixture on one cylinder. It just depends. Its possible to tune for fuel economy . You can have the AFR set to where you want and then have the AFR optimal at wide open throttle so you dont miss out on power. However you may miss out on some roll on throttle response . You would need to specify if you wanted this The 2013 is here. Its very different electronically (similar to the pani) for maps and adjustability but its given us the stupid air injection which makes no tuning of the air fuel possible without tempoarily blocking it off. Its a common mistake . After tuning you could end up with a v rich mixture because the dyno's sensors are polluted by excess air. Iam geared up and ready to tune one. If your out there and own one and are willing to leave it with me for 2 days there is a free remap in it . Of course if you dont like the result ill put it back to how it was
Took my Hyper 1100s down to them last year to get it mapped as it had DP cams Termi exhaust Stacks and found out it was running very rich . Were a great bunch of blokes and would highly recommend them.
