Looks like a paint job using the wrong gold paint, to me..... Not sure when the extra vent in the fairing was introduced, but would have thought a 96 model would have it. Can't see oil temp gauge, rear caliper mount is 750 type although some 900s did have it, rear mudgurad missing. AL
It's a 93 model! should have bronze wheels and frame. Also remote master cyls. I have asked the seller a few questions......... No history 37K miles No idea about later reg taken in as Part Ex
Found this among my documents.... Colours: 1991-92, white frame, red or black; 1993-94, bronze frame, red; 1995-97, gold frame, red or yellow AL
totaly forgot lmt motorcycles in louth lincs have 1991 900ss but £3495 just down the road from me saw it last year before my op nice condition believe cmm magazine used it for a feature last year
And Practical Sportsbikes a few months back. I still have that someplace..the bike has been on sale at that price for nearly a year. You'd think they'd get the message that it's a few hundred quid too expensive!
might have been practical sportbikes instead read both thought it was a bit pricey looks not bad up close but the wife keeps dragging me away lol
Me too! Though I won't be buying for a few years, need to finish racing first. Though another big tax cheque in six months time could tempt me ...
What you really need is a '91 white frame/white wheels or an SL Mk1. The others are ok, but just copies of the real one  My advice Steve is to buy one that has had all the work done. By the time mine is finished the total bill will be far more than the bike is worth. Maybe in time the value will go up and I may get my money back. Do you remember that link you posted up a while back to a bike for sale in Swindon? It had a full nut and bolt rebuild, engine by Louigi, head work by CJS, FCRs., hi-comps, and it went for £2800. By the time I got around to looking at it, it had been snapped up.
Don't we? It depends on what you want/expect really. I ought to at least get the thing rebuilt and running. As soon as I get that far I'll get back to you with full spec, pics etc. It may be a short while but I won't forget, promise. Meanwhile I'll keep an eye on here and if you get something else I'll see it.
Hi Paul/Gilps, Yes i remember the link! It would be nice to find one like that but most owners would remove the fcr's etc and sell it standard and sell on the goodies as they are worth more. I will have access to a pair of fire damaged fcr's which can be rebuilt. fitting HC pistons and setting the squish etc is no big deal for me to do myself. Porting! i still have moulds/plugs i made out of silicoln from the porting job i had done on my old SS 944. (Thanks Mr R for the tip on porting/flow plug idea at the time)
