I would like to fit some carbon fiber parts to my Multi Touring. I have looked at the Imberger site but does anybody have some does or don't on this subject.???
There is a rumour going around that the Ilmberger stuff is the same stuff offered from the Ducati Performance catalogue
I've ordered the list below from ilmberger for my touring, some has arrived and I'm well happy (so far) Front air ducts x2 Wind deflectors that attach to above x2 Mid tank panel Hugger Plus not long fitted the carbon fibre quat D's so the bike is beginning to take shape
Check out Carbon world.de they have some nice stuff too, and being in the EU theres no customs duties. I have from them: Tank protector Front mud guard extender Front muguard cover.
Ilemberger is also from Germany, and therefore no import duty. Top quality stuff, and should be for the price. I had a reasonable square footage of it on my S1000rr. When I came to sell I got good resale value on the bits I took off.
Did anyone see that vinyl-wrapped (carbon effect) Mustang at the NEC? It was pretty convincing, imho.
My mate runs Conquest carbon and does some pretty nice stuff in gloss or satin finish, think he's just about to stock up on some more Multi stuff so worth a look.
I don`t know if it match Ilmberger, but CarbonWorld part`s match original Ducati Performance carbon 100%.
Hi there, Not sure what pattern the limberger guys use but here's a couple of pics of carbonworld stuff which I just received the other day: Hopefully of some use. All the best, Mark H
Hi Richard, Just noticed your forum post. Take a look at my bike in the pictures gallery and tell me what you think of the aftermarket Carbon. 14000 miles clocked to date, its been to Moscow via Ukraine and back home to Ireland through Scandinavia, been round the Nurburgring 10 laps and has been ridden in every month since purchased in August 2011 and not a mark or chip on the Carbon. Let me know what you think and i will fill you in on a few things about the carbon. Ógie
Hi Ógie, Might have got the wrong fella but I don't suppose you used a wee place in Antrim for the carbon by any chance? Mark H
Must say I like the new satin finish stuff on the 2013 PP model - wonder if any other companies will start making the stuff with that finish?....
Hi Mark, Yes you are correct, carbon is courtesy of Ryan up in Antrim and was worth every penny of the thousands saved over the Ducati original kit, and the weave is a much closer match to the Ducati slip on end can. Regards, Ogie
