Must be the same dealer as me, I asked for a weekend MOT as I only ride on Saturdays & Sundays. He couldn't do it as he doesn't work weekends. Unhelpful bugger.
The scenario is chav boy in his vxrrrrrr chasing you on a nice sunny day then enter shade and want to turn that's when I'd want brake lights and indicators...surely can't be too expensive to get this bike safe and legal...specials of all types end up on the road without too much hassle, I do think some nice lights enhance.
It ain't going to happen - it is what it is, it would cost a lot to put back to road trim, and it isn't a road bike anymore - it's history getting to where it is will be respected and left alone but it will have some pootles out .....
I can, just over the back of my sofa in the dining room hopefully I can get it sorted by spring! (Proper spring not Cream Revenges stupidly early spring) - May will do...
I know you have stated you are not going to bother now but the correct info is here in the “manuAl”. https://www.gov.uk/government/uploa.../611017/mot-inspection-manual-classes-1-2.pdf No lights front/rear, reflectors or brake light is an advisory but not a fail. Sections 1.1 to 1.4 Section 1.5 indicators the same, if not fitted an advisory. Need a horn though. Section 1.7.
That's interesting @Sev I've been getting my Guzzi MOT'd regularly for many years now, it's got rear pegs, that double as the retaining points for the cans. However when I go to get it MOT'd I've always got the solo seat unit on it never the 2 up one Never a problem
