I’m currently running a Leo vince de-cat with the termi stubby.... I CANT TAKE IT ANYMORE! Does anyone know which cans fit directly onto the Leo vince de-cat ? Was looking at the obvious Leo can and the arrow can but are these much quieter? I’m also running a CJS map, I know the fueling won’t be perfect with a different can but will it still run ok? Thanks in advance guys and girls
I've had three Multis with decats. 2010 with Mivv Suono - noisy and harsh. 2013 with full Termi - not too noisy. 2015 DVT with full Arrows - noisier than Termi but quieter than Mivv, and very pleasing. I don't know how much a different decat pipe affects the end sound, but I suspect not very much. I had a clone map from CJS with the Mivv and it didn't make any perceptible difference to performance, fuel economy or sound. The Termi worked well. For the first 16000 miles I ran the Arrows with no remap over stock and it worked well. I am now running a RapidBike module on the DVT but too early to say if any metric has improved. The bottom line is that there will almost certainly no detrimental effect to the engine if you change the end can. The cheapest option is El Tels advice, get a good set of earplugs, preferably custom made.
All of them.... it's the same size as the standard can (from memory)... I tried the twin can thingy on it... im sure...
You could of course try my full race Termi, c/w Ducati mapping and air-box mods, which will make the bike run superbly, much smoother with greater flexibility, which I will offer to you at a very reasonable price too guvnor............ Simply let me know when and I'll let you know how affordable, in 'real-terms' this change could be.
Oh dear! Just fitted the Leo Vince decat to my 2012 it has the termi stubby and ear splittingly loud! Was hoping I get used to it but you just answered that question! To top it off I snapped a stud in the front cylinder head trying to get some slack. Going to have to get it taken to a shop for that to be fixed. Have you tried jimmyr have you tried any DB killers at all?
Full termi on Enduro w/o cat. Took the option to put a couple of restricted at the end of the can just like Kara cans on BMW. Result is 3 dB less and 3 hp less above 6500rpm. Very pleased. Bike runs slightly richer as well
when you buy a leo vince end can you get a round disc with 5 holes in it. If you still have the cat fitted this does all the silencing. If you fit the decat pipe you need to put the disc with 5 holes in the end can. It makes a lot of difference.
I have the decat and standard end can on my 12S, I must admit it is rather loud, my mate owns http://www.aph-performance-engineering.com/ I can ask him if he would make a run of Mutly cans, but I'm wanting something that looks similar to standard as I don't like the fat round options of the other brands. Anyone interested?
