Hi all After a couple off years of riding, (I used to ride all year round) I’ve decided that I need a bike for Sunday rides and maybe the odd run to the shops and a bit of commuting. I’m an experienced biker riding dirt in my youth and bikes when I worked in Italy. I spent more than 10 years commuting on a bike, three in and out of London. I have done three tours in Europe and yes it was on a GS My last bike was a BMWk1300s which was a good bike with no complaints. I’ve been in the IAM but yes they can be a bit pipe & slippers but it’s good training. I’m thinking a 899 or a new Supersport. I’m only going to use for fun and the odd day here so any advice welcome. Jim
Welcome Jim,,Which bike you choose all depends on how good your back is, as the BMW looks a more upright riding position to me than the ducati'sbut before you decide get your bloody waste bins lined up for Ducbird
Back is good, no problems there, I am a little overweight ! Only a stone but I need t shift it. I’m not small though at 6ft and 17st, I used to be a swimmer so have a big muscle mass which when you get older it goes south
Welcome Jim. Book a few test rides and try them out. I have an 899 and think its a great bike, roomy, comfy and looks the part. I'm sure the super sport is a great bike but the Panigale's have the edge when it comes to looks.
Hello and welcome into the mad house A red multi might be good too these bikes do like to be ridden or they become Saturday divas We like bins so don’t forget your bins
