Hi everyone, I've recently installed a manual scottoiler on my 2018 Supersport 939 and it seem to have a problem. It is loosing vacuum after about 2 minutes of running and does not come back until I restart the engine and looses it again after 2 minutes circa. I've checked and rechecked everything over and over again, diaphragm is operating, no kinks anywhere nor pinch points etc, all connections fine and I get the drips on the floor and than nothing. I know there is another 939 user on another forum that has the same setup yet no problems. I've teed into the pipe No.4 on page 120 in the link below. Is there a reason why the vacuum would drop off? Pipe comes off the manifold and it is before valve so I'd imagine it should be constant. http://issuu.com/ducatiomaha/docs/ducatiomaha_2017_supersports?e=1222863/47532466 Any input would be gr8tly appreciated. Kind regards, Rob
Is it possible that the initial vacume created is enough to start the flow and pressurise the system allowing gravity to do the job?
I doubt that, Looking at the diagram this pipe should have a constant vacuum as it come off the manifold
Ditch the system and do it manually with regular intervals. No hating, but I really never understood the automatic chain oilers unless you cross the Sahara desert or do extensive touring. Complex systems for simple jobs.
