Hello, I am used to using CRG levers on my other bikes (made in California, USA). But have an opportunity to buy some titax shorty levers for my hyperstrada at a very reasonable cost. they appear to be the same build quality and have same features as th eCRG levers I am used to. I see they are made in czech republic and Titax claims their levers are used by moto GP racers. thoughts? thanks
IIRC Titax were the pioneers of the shorty levers... might be wrong there. I had them on my 848 and the quality was spot on. I coudn’t get on with the shorties so changed them for some longer ones... Ian
thanks for the feedback. I installed a set of the Titax adjustable shorties on my hyperstrada 821 today. clutch side went on with no issues. Brake side was another story. Wasn't letting me get lever into the assembly/receiver so the holes would line up for the retention pin. After I double and triple checked I had the right part number, I figured out I had to "shave off" a tiny bit of material where it met the assembly so the holes lined up. I should not have had to do that, but it was easier than sending it back or waiting weeks for a replacement from the company. Also, I heard customer support from Titax is hit-or-miss. Otherwise, the quality is good and the ratchet adjustment system works great as well. Will go on a test run this weekend to ensure I didn't fark anything up but for what I paid, I am satisfied.
