916 Tank Painting

If you have the funds, Image Design Custom in Camberley have a very good reputation and are familiar with Ducati colours. Based on my experience, they’d be about £300 but will colour match to compensate for the bikes age. Andy

 

Only my guess. Give them a shout and see what they say. Price will depend on how much preparation they do so you can always reduce the price by doing that yourself. Andy

 

I don’t think £300 is OTT. I got charged £425 last year for mine painting. Std red just with the infostrada stickers putting on which I supplied. The painter (Barry at imageworks, West Yorkshire) said there’s a trick to doing them right. Keeping the paint away from the filler neck, lacquer underneath and above the stickers...
I probably paid too much but it’s worth £300 if painted by someone with a top reputation.

300 is not dear, yellow is an absolute pig to get right, ask anyone that has had yellow done in the past, dont waste your momey and go cheap it really isnt worth it

 

you're call, but I wouldnt look to save money here, ask anyone that has one or has owned a yellow bike

I can vouch for Image Design Custom, amazing work.

 

Original decals are still available from Ducati for a lot of the older bikes and are not an arm and a leg. Not entirely sure but I think it’s only been recently that the decals have been lacquered. Andy
