Its now been about 4 months since I started riding my strada and so far so good . I’ve even progressed to the touring mode !! The only down side is that I’ve now dropped the bike twice !!! Well ones one the strong wind that blew it over . I’m looking for suggestions on decent folding or shorty levers . Any suggestions? Cheers
I have some Chinese copies of Pazzo levers, which are are actually really well made and look a thousand times more right on the bike than the original Brembos, which are really ungainly. When they are arrived, I was initially really disappointed because I'd succeeded in ordering the long lever version. However, my disappointment was short lived because they turned out to be perfect - usefully shorter and much comfier than OEM but not as stubby as the really short ones. So I recommend the longer Pazzos or if you want to spend less than 20 quid, the Chinese copies.
After buying a folding set of levers from a UK suppier which were expensive and not what I needed I found a set of shorty levers here:- https://m.aliexpress.com/item/32834082832.html Less than 20 quid. Quality to my eye seems the same as the UK branded ones I bought and at a fraction of the cost.
I've been umming and ahhing over getting Chinese copy short levers, but glad to see others will actually fit them to their Ducati and not be snobs about it :-D Think I'll go order some
Thanks for all the ideas on the levers guys !! Ended up getting Evo tech long folding ones from a great seller on eBay !! Very helpful indeed and great service. Oh and I got myself a lower seat from another great seller on eBay !!! Although it was a used it was in great nick . Defo helps me feel a lot safer with more of my feet on the ground.
I always bought Ebay levers, then someone (i think it was @Wayne58 ) posted a video to a guy who had had a spill due to the lever. That was enough for me to put my hand in my pocket.
Hmm.... Anyone else have chinese levers? The crash video was awful but was it the failiure of the lever? The follow up video didn't really give much info. I should admit I want to buy chinese levers but...
Amazes me that folk spend 15k+ on a bike but won't spend 100 quid on some quality levers that control the most important action on a bike.
The Evo tech ones I got were spot on ! £102 post included and easy to fit . Probably take a while to get used to them though .
