Evening. Has anyone mounted anything for nav or music? Quadlock, RAM for example. I haven't got mine yet so am unable to experiment. My new lid was supposed to have cutouts for a headset, but upon arrival it doesn't. So I can't go the SENA route and control from the helmet. I was thinking about a set of apple bluetooth headphones and dash mounting the phone.
Who gave you that information ? I’ve read through the 803’s manual and there is no mention of or instructions for fitting an intercom. The 803 is billed in the advertising blurb as a race helmet so I would not expect it to take an intercom anyway. IIRC, its predecessor, the 802RR which my girlfriend wears, didn’t take one either. Doesn’t solve your problem I know and your bluetooth ear buds sounds like and easy solution, if the ear buds sit sufficiently inside the ear so the helmet padding isn’t always trying to push them in further than they need to go. Andy
I didnt own it so didnt have the manual to read. As there is a link on it's product page to an ncom headset, its not unreasonable to infer that it would be compatible with the product they hyperlink. I too am worried about the buds pressing in on my head but I guess thats a common issue.
For future reference, always check the manufacture’s web site first. As in the case of X Lite, the manuals for all of their helmets are available to download. Too late I know but at least the 803 is an awesome looking helmet and if it’s at least as good as its predecessor, the 802RR, it’ll perform brilliantly. Andy
Silly me I didnt see that. It is great though and I'm looking forward to wearing it. No music #firstworldproblem
Ive looked on some V4 control pictures... I don't know if this will help but this what I did on mine a few years ago and V4 has the same thing... Link here
Cheers. I pulled the trigger on the apple earphones today for the path of least resistance. Will see how they feel under the lid and go from there.
My x spirit III has an available fitting kit for the interphone f5mv upgraded speaker set....fits and works a treat too...
I never noticed (or bothered to look) on my Kagayama. Still not sure why you’d expect a race helmet to have provision for intercom kit. Andy
My Roof Boxer V8 doesn't have the intercom slots either, but manage to clamp a Sena SHM10 to it can post pic later when finished from work (8pm)
