Hello All! Greetings from Hungary (sorry for my poor English knowledge..). Few days ago i picked up my new 1260 S (white). (The weather is so bad in my country - so i am just looking my bike every day) Someone use the Multistrada Link App for 1260 S with Android? Is it working? What is the actual version of android app? (At all: is this app available and working now on Android or iOS?) (I tried to find in Google Play and App store but "not allowed" in my country... So I downloaded and installed the android apk (Version 1.0), but it is doesn't work... ) Thanks for all comments!
I've got it installed on my iPhone from a couple of years ago but I tried to find it on the Apple app store recently and couldn't. I'm wondering if it's been pulled. Maybe Apple have kicked it out of the store because it was slurping data it wasn't entitled to, as that happens a fair bit. It seems odd when a bike has all this tech to not have an app so I can only guess why it's not there at the moment. Ducati appear to have been a bit overzealous lately with the treatment of our data. I'm only guessing.
Seriously, having recently studied Ducati's serious out of date privacy policy I wouldn't install this on my phone.
The Multistrada App is only available on the Italian App Stores at present. T'was pulled from international App stores late last year. I am guessing The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) that will come into force on the 25th May 2018, replacing the existing data protection framework under the EU Data Protection Directive has the Ducati lads quaking in their boots. DUCATI will have to be on top of their game and understand our rights before they can roll out an app that will be under strict scrutiny by the GDPR police!!
I downloaded the Ducati reader app last week, but it has crashed every time ive opened it. Pile o s###e
You can’t download the APP outside of Italy It is currently region restricted, not available in UK, Ireland Or rest of world
I downloaded it a couple of years ago and deleted it. Went to download it again and it’s only available in Italy. When I went to my purchased apps on the iPhone it listed it and I was able to download it again so if you’ve had it before it will let you get it.
I can ask you a couple of questions ??? 1 / this summer I go to lake di garda, could I download it if I'm in Italian territory? 2 / Would it be compatible with the 2016 model? or is it like an update of the previous ?? Thank you
Q1 is very interesting... hope you will share the result and eventually bring some applications for others as well. I want one please. Q2. I believe so Hope you are lucky
I noticed this today and tried to get the app from the Italian website using a VPN connection. The android app was a dead link, interestingly the link on the Italian site did launch iTunes but then told me it wasn't available in Italy but it was on the US site, I got redirected and then it failed again saying it wasn't on the US site either !! It look like this is dead, at least for now....
I got an email two days ago asking if was willing to beta test the new Link App. I replied that I am. We'll see what happens next.
