After three years of Ducati fun in the shape of an 1199 panigale I have decided on a change of bike. On Friday I will be picking up a new bike. It’s a triumph. I fancy a ‘chill out scrambler/flattracker’ style bike for the summer (if it ever comes). Hopefully I can stay on this forum. I have not been a prolific poster but have given the odd ‘like’ and may be a few nukes by mistake. It’s a great forum with some great people. I am sure this will have a ‘thread moved’ as I always seem to post in the wrong section. Lol. I will be back on a Ducati soon. Cheers
Enjoy and hang around - El T needs something to do in his old age, trouble is he's started to forget where he puts things and moves them back
Will post pics when I get it. Did consider a desert sled. Sorry ducbird it’s blue, I know I know. But it has got gold wheels.
Is it a 1200 Scrambler? Triumph's 1200 twin is a great engine with a very different character to other twins on the market. A proper old-school thudder with more grunt than a tennis-playing lesbian. Looks fab too (the engine, not the lesbian), like an Edward Turner original. With the much meatier 1200, Triumph's twins are turning into a fine range of bikes and more people should try them. They might be surprised. Some species of 1200 Trumpet will probably be my next buy.
Hi gimlet. It’s a street cup but has been modified to take into homage Steve McQueens bike that he used in a six day trials event. It has the following, custom respray, upgraded front brake, different handle bars, clamps, and levers, v and h exhaust and engine remap, knobbly tyres, twin fox rear shocks, custom seat unit, upgraded chain and sprockets, light guard. To me it looks great. It’s going to be on the triumph stand at the bike shed show at the end of the month.
We have a other bike section https://www.ducatiforum.co.uk/forums/other-bikes.33/ so you can blend in there too,
Dunno about them high exhausts on the side. If I had one like that, I'd have to dress to the left to avoid getting burnt.
