  1. As above. Hope it gets easier as things loosen up....

  2. If it's like any other new Ducati gearbox it will get much better as you run it in

  3. Thread "Title of the day" award. :D

  4. Mine is in for it's Running in service now but the gearbox has been great so far. Not had huge issues getting into neutral. Would say comparable to the R1 I had before. Hope yours settles down quickly.

  5. This is very true, in fact the whole bike gets better after a few miles. Makes you wonder whether those who demand low-mileage bikes at all costs are missing out?

  6. I find when clicking in to gear it snatches forward quite aggressively, but then i've been on a direct drive bike for so long, i'm probably just not used to it.

  7. Have you tried lettting the clutch out a little until it bites, then try neutral again?
This has worked for me for years on Duc’s.

  8. I have actually but in the garage it's a bit....wall like
And when I do, the gear indicator just has a dash and then it stalls :sob:
I'm sure it will even out

  9. On my 1299 I struggle to find neutral going up from 1st but its easier to find droppong down from 2nd.

  10. I have my 1299 in dealer for first year service, until last weekend, i found neutral no problem, now that has ended, im up and down between 1st n 2nd, the dealer said clutch fluid a bit old (14 month) needs to be renewed this will stop the problem, me thinks, mmmmmmmm

  11. on a side note, anyone pop in to N when quick shifting from 1-2. I'm clutching it every time now to be safe

  12. That’s instinct my man. I did the same but decided the electronics did a better job. QS felt much better.

  13. I think you are right to be skeptical. How spongy is the lever? How far is the bite point away from the clip on? It is more likely that there is a bit of air in the system. i have to bleed mine regularly (I have added an 11mm spanner to the tool kit so that I can bleed it when out and about). It goes into neutral easily when there’s no air in the circuit. Its a pig when there is. There are a few posts on various sites about how poor the OEM pump is and how it admits air. I am on my second (first replaced under warranty) but it is now just as bad as the old one.

  14. Razz, good info, it’s bites almost instantly when I start to release, got bike back today, fluid has been changed and bled, going into N no problem biting a bit further out now

  15. There is a technical note out to replace elements of the clutch hydraulics on the V4, so it may be that the clutch is not quite releasing. I have to hunt a bit for neutral on mine, and I'm sure its a bit worse than new (March).

  16. Mine seems to have gotten slightly worse with finding neautral too.

  17. When i test rode the V4S i noticed the clutch lever span/reach was set very far out, and the bike was easy to get into netural
Roll on my own V4S.....i adjusted the clutch lever to my own liking/span/reach and the bike is now very difficult to get into netural.
I decided to adjust the clutch lever span out (like the demo bike) and my bike finds netural easy.
It seems if you want to find netural, its at the expense of a long span/reach setting on the clutch lever
