Putting this up here for a good friend since I know a few people have been talking about collectors bikes and this is a good one. Its hardly been touched over the last eight years as my mate can never get away from work and kid duties! All the standard parts are back on the bike and everything is present and correct. He's the most anal person I've ever met so it's as good an example as you are likely to find. The picture here is from when he was working at Yamaha HQ. It has under 20k miles, 3 owners from new and full service history. Some more up to date phots to come this weekend hopefully. He has aftermarket can, rearsets and levers in this picture but everything is completely back to standard now and this stuff is up for sale separately. These are all the aftermarket parts that were on it and for sale serperately:
Hi there, a mate of mine has exactly the same bike and is after some rear sets. Any idea of price and I’ll forward it onto him. Darren
With 20k, then closer to 5k maybe? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Yamaha-Y...314982?hash=item25f3fe3c26:g:FhEAAOSwOFNa00bY
Here's my mate Tom's - fastest normally aspirated R1 on 1 wheel in the World - he's not called Tom is he
Hi Royal, he’s very interested. But had a couple of questions. I’ll pm you his email then maybe you can forward to your friend. Cheers Darren
Seeing that lovely example reminded me of a job I did circa 4 years ago from york to Leipzig (Germany) basically a lady (who rides a Ducati) who flies for dhl moved jobs to Leipzig so I moved her stuff to a lovely big house with an enormous barn come garage in the sticks outside Leipzig, the pilot guy who lived there having seen my 848 in the van took me to the barn and bingo there was a mint r1 as above that he was using, also it was his friend who gave him the bike, as a side property in that part of the world was unbelievably cheap.
