I’ve had a 1200s Touring DVT for 3 years and have been weighing up whether to take the plunge for the new 1260. However, I simply couldn’t justify paying what they’re asking for the 1260 - a bike that is pretty much the same (engine aside). I got an absolutely blinding deal on a late unregistered 2017 DVT S Touring, at more than £3,500 less than the 1260 asking price!! So I’ve traded the 2015 in for the 2017 (will be on a brand new 2018 plate) AND I get to keep my sat nav, tank bag, top box and keyless filler cap. Bloody bargain! I’ll wait happily with my new ‘un until they do something with the Multi that’s worth trading up for. Sorry but the current 1260 ain’t that bike. Happy days
congratulations! i also got a blinding deal on an unregistered 2017 with an 18 plate. bit of a change from my hyper, but loving it so far. been thinking about the keyless filler, is it really worth it?
I’ve always had the keyless filler since my 2012 Multey, so I do like them. But they are too pricey really, just to avoid the ‘inconvenience’ of taking the key out of your pocket! Tbh, if I wasn’t able to keep the one from my ‘15 bike I wouldn’t bother. All I have to do now is decide if I can be arsed with the faff of fitting it. Removing it from the bike was a real ballache, so putting it back in the new one is going to be just as much hassle!
I’ve done the same! Traded a 2016 d’air S Touring for a 2018 reg 1200s. Couldn’t justify the £18k+ but am happy with the deal I got. Originally there was only a white one, which I wasn’t keen on, however when a red one came available, I bit his arm off lol
Italia moto, Lincoln was advertising a 1200 s unregistered 2017 for 16.499 as the bargain of the year, that doesn't look that much of a deal to me?
I think it is, personally I can't see the point of having key less ignition and then having to dig out your ignition key to open your filler cap.
I’ve got the keyless filler, and like the convenience of not needing to faff for the key when I fuel up It’s a keyless bike after all It’s not to hard to fit when you get the tank cover panel off, and it’s plug and play, no need for dealer coding
