  1. Hi all, new member here. I have an issue that maybe some of you have some advice on.
    Bike: 2002 Ducati Monster 620
    Problem:
When I turn on the ignition, no lights appear on the display, the dials don't turn, no numbers appear in the panels and of course nothing happens if I try to start it. This happened from one day to the next, no warning.
When I turn on the ignition, I hear the two relays click and the gas pump starts up. The electronic immobilizer blinks normally. The horn works, as well as the break lights, but no other lights turn on.
    Checked:
Changed battery to new one. Measured 13v output, grounding seems solid. Relays on left side of the tank seem ok, swapped them and same symptoms appear. Main fuse ok. All fuses in fuse-box ok. Gone over all connections, they seem ok as well as the wiring.

Any and all ideas are welcome, the local dealer had no tips and was fully booked until September...

    Thanks :)

  2. My first guess would have been ignition relay stocking, but you swapped it out
Could be the loom. pig of a job to test but you need a wire diagram a volt meter and a lot of time

  3. Don't know much about monsters. Is there a chip in the key for the i mobilise r. Have dealt with imobilisers a few times and usually the electrical side is immobilized leaving fuel pump and other items still working dependent on the motorcycle.Like Johnny has said. You really need a wiring diagram and work your way as far as you can get with a meter from the battery to each component testing for power. .

  4. Ignition it' s self? I have same bike and had something similar recently. Being a lazy btard I kept leaving out in the rain to save me getting it out the workshop in the morning for work.
Anyhu, I guess the ignition barrel didn' like the water and it was acting real funny. Lots of wd40 sorted it..

  5. water entry into the clocks is my first reaction. this is a known and rampant issue on these bikes.
silly question: check to make sure connector is on tight behind the cluster.
