If you're lucky, Arquebus will be along and he'll give you sage advice. I reckon you need to be systematic and check things in turn. Running rich is a fuelling thing and not a spark thing - so don't be seduced into playing with plugs, apart from cleaning them. (but do check that you have the right ones!) Then - is the fast idle control working properly (it's like a choke on a carb - has a butterfly in the inlet tract? And are your sensors all connected properly and working? Good luck!
Have you still got the Ambient air temp sensor still there and connected, usually sits in behind the H/Light area inside the front faring. If not it will revert to thinking it is as cold as it gets and richen the mixture to compensate. (BTW it isn't a choke, it's a fast idle to prevent cold stall.)
I do still have it connected but that was my thoughts that as I've hidden all the wires behind the head light and am thinking could I of damaged it, any ideas on it's value max and min. I take it it's only the air temp that alters the fueling?
Sorry, I have no technical knowledge at all about this, you need to find a W/Shop manual or someone in the know.
