Hi, new to the forum so apologies if there is a thread already. Fuel tank on my 03 ST3 has rusted through at the back bottom seam. Does anyone know if this is repairable(and if so where) or do I need a new tank? New/good tanks seem to be hard to come by so repair would be preferable. thanks!
They are known to be weak at the bottom support bracket and can leak from there. Weld repairs are not uncommon.
My silver '04 did the same thing, when I started to prod it to see if it was thin anywhere else it became apparent I'd have better luck putting petrol in a tea bag. I got a tank from the states but it cost me a fortune. Good luck Dave....
