ok, so I just bought a 2010 single spark 1200S, loving it. Only done 10,000 miles and is the first generation model with Ohlins. After reading about the SCU upgrade I thought it’s worth a punt being only £230 pounds from an Italian Ohlins dealer. Boy...what a difference, it is night and day. Instantly you feel the bike behave in a different manner. Most noticeable is the amount of reduced front dive from the forks, it stiffens itself up the harder you brake. secondly the rear squats then goes hard in fast corners which is great. So far been the best money I have spent on it so far, as my list is growing because it was totally standard, so now I have a tail tidy on order ,a new full Leo Vince de cat system,new screen, sat nav and levers and so on. It’s a cracking bike and will get it re-mapped at Moto Rapido when the exhaust is on.
