I know buffeting and wind noise are the 2 most discussed areas on just about every motorcycle forum for every bike with a screen ever, one mans meat is another one poison! I’m 5’6, have the low seat fitted and just purchased the Puig Touring screen off mackers and have to say, whilst it hasn’t totally cured the buffeting and noise, it has resolved it to a point I’m no longer looking for other solutions. The screen is about 60mm taller than the stock screen so on low it’s roughly about the same as stock on high. I found stock on high acceptable, the new screen is tinted and I’m looking over the top of it easily and a small haunch puts me behind it. Being taller and narrower with a slight lip, the turbulence is definitely less and noise also less. On the highest setting I’m looking through the screen and there is a bit of distortion, however I’m able to ride visor open in calm air so I’ll use this mode in rain on motorways. I appreciate it’s a solution that won’t suit everyone, be interesting to hear how anyone else has found this screen.
I opted for the Puig touring screen for exactly the OP,s reason , I,m 5’8” and low setting is fine for all but the rainiest days when it handily pushes the rain drops off the screen over my head.
I have a Givi Touring screen for sale, hardly used and in excellent condition. £50 delivered within UK
Another mans poison, you are right,as i fitted Puig touring same as your pic & took it off again. I,m 6 foot. Fitted a Mra vario screen & been on a 200 mile trip today & it suits me much better. Found it quieter & does not unsettle the bike at high speed. I found the Puig on highest setting definitely made bike a bit un nervy when pushing hard.
