Constands Centre Stand

  1. Hi all,

    I bought this https://www.motea.com/en/zentralstander-constands-power-ducati-1299-panigale-15-17-387327-0 from constands.

    Does anyone else have one? I wasn't aware at the time that you need to make some slight changes to the bike in order to get it to work. These changes okay to make and use the bike year round for road and track?

    Removing and replacing the large t60 bolt in the frame, what does in need to be torqued to?

    All instructions in German!

  4. A thread discussing Constands arose a little while ago.

    On my XDiavel, the replacement bolt to recieve the Constand wouldn’t stay torqued and would work its way loose. It was one of two bolts in the subframe / shock mounting.

    I simply would not trust the bolt sufficiently to ride the bike with the Constand bolt in place.

  6. Watching with interest as I was considering one of these for my 1199... Anyone know whether the same issue arises?

  7. The issue I had is a video I watched where you have to replace an OEM bolt (the main one with the huge torx fitment with theirs and it sticks out quite some distance. Doesn’t look great, and could see myself catching on it.

    Sent it back today, didn’t even open the box.

    Got a front paddock stand instead

  10. The workshop manual (crossed checked with a dealership workshop) specifically stated not to loctite the bolts in the shock mount.

    Given what the bolt supported I lost all faith in the product as a result of it coming loose.

    In my opinion the XDIAVEL Constand kit is dangerous for these reasons.

    At the Scottish Bike show I discussed the Constand with a rep of one of the Bike stand companies and asked if they could supply the same. I think it was 1 Jac. The rep took one look at the XDIAVEL at the show and in answer as to whether a stand could safely be made using the mounting points utilised by Constand his reply was an instant “no”.

  11. Delivery man just sent me an Abba superbike stand with front lift bar, takes seconds and very secure when up. 171 quid delivered. :upyeah:

  12. On a 1299? You have to remove the lower fairing for it to fit right?
