Has anyone found a better way to hold a decent size Sat Nav on the DVT, in the centre and above speedo console and below top of the screen. I do not like the Haltinav (or what ever it is called I have one) that much, want something that is a bit more solid, and lockable.
I think the is a Touratech one which locks (And I'm sure you will be able to sell the Navi-halter easily as most people love them, me included)
I've got the Ducati/Navihalter copy on my DVT. It's not too bad but you still get a bit of bounce on bumpy roads. I've found the screen central slide mount to be a little bit of a loose fit and this seems to cause the "wiggle". I put a firm piece of foam rubber in between the screen and the slide rod and this helped quite a bit. Prof...I'd meet you at Wessons but it's gone now!...
I hope this link works https://www.ducatiforum.co.uk/threads/navihalter.60991/page-3 As I have a navihalter and modified it, now no wobble at all at any speeds officer. Alan
I use touratech locking bracket mounted on a givi bar (givi FB 7408). I would recommend it, costs about £40
Thanks for replies, and @28Jay now we talking, got an image please? see how high it is as I use pikes pike screen on my DVT
Would be interested to hear what you think of the Givi bar as I've been considering it for my DVT. Going to use the 4L Givi tank bag for trip next month combined with my phone for poverty spec sat nav until cash flow allows for something more bespoke. I've got a Puig low sports screen fitted at present - do you think mounting a sat nav onto the bar would make it protrude above the top of the screen?
T@MaDProFF I will try and post some pictures. @Nottsbiker I do recommend the Givi bar, you get longer fixings with it as it fits onto the screen mountings. I also have the Puig sport screen and it sits below the top. The top 2 pictures are the screen at lowest and highest

I’m quite tempted myself. I had the Ducati mount on my lasr bike but the extra weight made the screen rattle. The Givi bar looks like a neat solution.
I've used that givi ref on their website but it comes back with "not found" ??? Just found it under "My Motorcycle". Cheers
PALMER make an accessory bar for their screen mount, works great, no real wobble when riding only if you hit a big bump. Would wobble off-road becuz of the crappy oem screen design.
Looks good! Your Ducati bag looks the same as my Givi 4ltr one with a different badge - mine was approx. £80 all in with tank ring via Ebay. Tried the phone in there last night (evening) and it was fine on max brightness but will require continuous power which I suspect will then have the added risk of causing overheating. When I get a sat nav I'll definitely get that bar as I've been very impressed with the Givi kit I've bought so far.
I’ve recently bought the Tomtom 420 with ram mount. Drilled 2 x 7mm holes in the top of the screen lift handle. Works perfect, very stable. The satnave lifts with the screen. Perfect view of the dash even when you turn the nave from landscape to potrate. Also impressed with the screen of the sat nav, perfect clarity even in direct sun light. Hard wired into the bike too. A cheap alternative chaps...
I like that. I might even remove my Ducati mount and do the same You say it works perfectly, so I assume there's no problem with the nuts underneath getting in the way of the screen adjusting lever?
