Just lost my rhs db killer somewhere on the road- on my 848 with slash cut termis, need to find a replacement asap. Can't find anywhere that sells them, would be grateful if anyone knows where I can buy a set.
I feel your pain. I just leave mine out to make sure I don't loose them I expect Ebay may be your friend on this one
I had just spent 20mins filing the lhs dB killer to fit correctly, as they were a brand new pair, but the lhs one had some burrs where it had been stamped out of plate and not finished very well. Made absolutely sure that the 2x 5mm cap headed bolts were tightened up properly and then went for a ride. I thought it was sounding slightly more fruity than it should so I stopped to have a look and saw that the rhs was missing, so I retraced my ride on the off chance I might see it flattened on the road somewhere. Got the bike home and then got in the car to slowly retrace the route again, unfortunately no sign of the bloody thing. I think I will use a nylock nut next time! No sign of anything on ebay that I could see!
Might be worth seeing if the dealerships got the ability to get any. I had a similar experience on Sunday but with my wallet. I must have forgotten to zip up my pocket and no sign of it anywhere despite retracing my steps. I suspect your mishap may end up being considerably cheaper than mine! Good luck with the search.
There was only a Scottish pound note in there and I couldn't figure out the pin number for the credit card But seriously hope it turns up John, I am hoping I will have mine by the 8th so hopefully we can share
Good of you Vince, I haven't made my mind up yet whether to take the Duke or Trumpet. Make sure yours fit o.k as mine wouldn't, had to file all the burrs off. And don't forget to bring a nut to lock them on properly!
I had a set on my old 848 Evo wish I had kept them now, think i will get a couple of spring washers. Take the bloody Evo
exactly the same story for me yesterday... how did you solve this problem back then? any dealers who can get a replacement?
chris I managed to buy a new pair, although as it was so long ago I can't remember where. Do have a google I think I have seen them being sold somewhere.
cheers for replying! seems these are a rare breed these days. really struggling (google and ebay not turned up much) I have an MOT coming up in a month and getting bit worried she'll fail the noise levels do you happen to know if the cut / sort version of the baffle reduces the rise by the same amount and fits the same as the linger original version? Long shot question... Cheers ! CP
seen these on ebay. I cant answer your" do you happen to know if the cut / short version of the baffle reduces the rise by the same amount and fits the same as the linger original version?" question unfortunately. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DB-KILLE...8-S-R-SP-EVO-DBKiller-DB-Killer-/322181075927
I bought mine from a website in Germany, took about 4 weeks to turn up and were REALLY expensive but needed some for trackdays, you buy them individually though.
Chris, Try these guys... https://www.pipewerx.co.uk/webshop/accessories/db-killers-baffles/other-exhaust-brands/
Thanks for looking. They're the wrong shape unfortunately, and have a feeling that style wont cut out enough noise to keep under the limits for Singapore. Real ball ache ! I'll keep looking - you've been helpful, so thank you.
I’ve got a pair for non slash cuts mate if that might help. Pm me and I’ll get some pictures together for you. Cheers, Tom
Your right I’ve just looked at them and they are different and have different fixing point. Sorry mate.
