Luckily, on most other bikes, you'll only ever see it's arse Tel (But, and only imo, I like the front end, its a fresh and new approach, but each to their own I guess)
It doesn’t have that classic gray plastic fade or characteristic engine flaking that Ducati’s get after a bit of salt
Fucking hell @Wayne58 - theyre dissing the SDR ! - scoped rifle on the roof...! They were all chatting earlier on - they reckon your a right cunt - and i aint one to shit stir...! Shonky zed boy awaiting your rapier wit response...
If you want very fast, great handling, quickshifter as standard, then S1000r all the way. Tbh mine started to make me worry, no matter how fast I went it never felt on the limit. Sport model with ESA, heated grips and cruise control as standard. Bloody comfy bike as well. Just needs an MRA screen to take care of high speed buffeting and job done. Nice that sag can bet set manually so combined with the settings in the ESA menu a good compromise can be made for comfort/handling/turn in on corners
Having a look on the Aprilia forum today the top two topics are a number of people discussing valve issues on 2016 bikes. It does seem luck of the draw but it’s really not good enough from Aprilia, especially considering the age of the platform.
Love the rsv4 motor! And its a nicely proportioned bike but that’s about the only Good thing I could say about Aprillia.

Mate, Soz, only just read this... I don't need to provide any rapier wit Andy, you provide all the forum laughs necessary with the comedic Kwak of yours. Cheers for the giggles thus far dude....Keep it up
I agree, given the age of the bike I’m also surprised they’re still having engine issues, even if infrequent. I’ve 17 Factory and like someone else suggested, wouldn’t swap it for the world...or at least not until it was constantly buggered. If you like Italian bikes, true for all on this forum I would expect, this bike should hit your hot buttons more than anything German or Japanese. Quick shifter/auto blipper been nothing but sublime on my bike. Exhaust howl (AR), torque, TFT dash, riding position all brilliant. In 2 weeks I do my second West coast Scotland tour and so long I’ve not jinxed it, and it’s not pishing down it should be great.
I think you’re in luck as the 2015+ RSV4 doesn’t seem to have had any major problems. It’s got titanium EX valves, and that seems to have suppressed the problem, apparent they don’t transfer as much heat as the steel ones...
Yes it was I have had all 3, 848 base in 2008, traded in for 848 evo that was really nice, then 2015 I had the SE with alloy tank all 3 are pretty awesome
It was the 2017 that was beaten up with the euro 4 stick..hence the bigger end can and thicker crank cases to reduce noise.... they forgot to mention that it was heavier too.. They then had to make it rev higher too, to make it look like the power figures were unaffected.. Nuts..! I had a 2016 factory and tested a 2017 .. quite a difference sadly..
