Hi all. Just been offered a 1299s track bike. Owner has sent a video of the dash on start up, and I have a couple of questions for you knowledgeable people 1. Owner says abs is disabled, but on the dash it’s showing a warning of “abs front only”. I need it totally disabled is that possible via the menu system or do I have to take it to a garage? 2. On the bottom left of the side dash there is a warning triangle, anyone know what that’s is? 3. Engine warning is on I know. Any chance that is because it’s cold or needs a diagnostic check. Tia Stu
The two orange lights at top either side are always on until you move off. Callibration thing I think. Happens each time you turn ignition on. Will disappear within moments as you move.
Hi the two at the top I am not bothered about the left is the main abs warning, the right is the des system which is disabled as well, just the bottom left yellow triangle that bothers me!
That light is (from the manual): GENERIC ERROR WARNING LIGHT (AMBER YELLOW). It turns on when there are any "vehicle" errors, i.e. active errors triggered by any control unit other than the engine control unit.
The bike is in RACE mode. That disables rear ABS and warns that front only is active. What you have is stock display for that mode. There's also a RED engine warning light showing on the dash that will tie in with the warning to lower right. Read out the problem with diagnostic tool. The triangle warning light may be, if it's in track trim, the rear light has been unplugged???
Ok guys thanks for your help. Got a mate going to look at it tomorrow as I’m abroad at the moment. Hopefully all is good.
