So Is The Nec Show In November Worth Making The Trip For?

  1. Strange...i went last year for the first time....i quite enjoyed myself...pricing aside its kinda good to go window shopping...sometimes its better to see stuff in real life rather than webpage after webpage of pics...i might note that i did get a set of brembo pads for 80 quid....on the net they were plus 100 everywhere...i metcthe kriega rep...told him my inner lining on my courier bag failed...gave me a new one on the spot....

In a way its nice to put mouthy sales reps on the spot and fire'em difficult questions like " why does your fireblade keep crashing..." that kind of thing....ill be going again this year with my mate...probably cos its new to me, so, a bit different...

I dont drink so beer festivals and getting on the piss would be a waste of time...

  2. Long way to go to see fat blokes with oversized braces sitting on bland bikes, pulling the levers in a dozen times.

  6. Always treat it as a day out then I'm not disappointed with the show. Usually go every two years

  7. Why not go to the National Motorcycle Museum instead.

  8. You ever been in there??

  9. had a bad experience in Leeds by any chance?

  10. I popped by on way back from Bristol last year, one look at the car parking price and I continued my journey home to be fair I only had 3 or 4 hours spare which made the decision easier

  11. Yes, I lived there in the 90's. Lived in Headingley and worked in Sheepscar and on Roseville Road... There were some good things about it, the old Town & Country Club used to have an amazing Northern Soul night, and Mabgate cafe used to do some pretty good breakfast sandwiches but the good didn't outweigh the bad. I suppose to give it a break, at least it's not Bradford or Shipley.

  12. True, I'm based in woodhouse so can relate to what you are saying, I saw lightning seeds at the t and c, Leeds was a dark not great city but has improved I like Leeds but hope my future is abroad here in Spain for the winter would be a good start

As to the bike show maybe something like Milan would be of interest but nec has always seemed a bit naff only been about 4 times but once is enough unless maybe going with mates or to get a good deal in something but I have never seen a mega deal all the kit is available at the shops the traders usually have or online

  13. Bike show is a rip off.. £25 to get in and £12 to park.

I'm going to the Caravan and Motorhome show in a few weeks at the NEC its £9.50 to get in and free parking.

*Just for the record im not into Caravans or Motorhomes.

  14. Not sure if i have been once or twice in my lifetime but certainly i remember the first memorable day in november 1993 and was very busy and i don't do crowds:(......but the launch of the nine sixteen and everybody gathered round it like flies on a turd:mask:;)what a motorcycle:upyeah:

  15. When
Your as handsome and sartorial as myself going
To the bike show is a problem as I have to literally fight the women and some men off with a shitty stick
