anyone painted the hand guards - the silver pieces? Was going to do mine to change the silver, I thought they were metal parts and was going to powder coat but they're actually abs plastic!
I painted mine black. Just took the surface off the existing silver, used it as a base coat and put three coats of Matt black on.
Yes, you can buy a hydrodipping kit and do it yourself, I have to say practice makes perfect and it took me quite a few goes to perfect the process of the film hydration, activating the film and of course the dipping. Patience is the key, I have some.
I went on a web site in america somewhere. Think it was called H2o. hydrodipping. The guy has loads of utube video,s doing the dipping. Watched them all, brilliant.
Bark-busters dear boy, Bark-busters! A bit of an expensive add-on, but can save a lot of extra cost OH and you could try stopping dropping your bike......
Well there is that option! I bought the expensive Ducabike protectors, the guards still break with a hard spill but they are good for van mirrorsAnd they look better! https://conquestcarbon.com/product/ducabike-ducati-multistrada-950-1200-enduro-handguard-protectors/
