I bought a pair of Sidi Goretex adventure boots recently. Lovely things. However, I have noticed that when I'm holding the bike on the back brake the boot is touching the clutch cover. In fact there is a screw on the boot that has gouged the paint. I'm trying to find a simple cover that will cover the scratches and prevent further damage however I haven't found anything. I've found whole engine case covers which look horrible and simple stick on carbon covers for other bikes but nothing for the DVT. Anyone have any ideas? Stooby
I'll be looking to see if I can do anything with the boot. In the absence of a cover does anyone know of a paint that I might be able to touch up the scratches?
Nah never found anything suitable. It hasn't gotten any worse but the scratches are still there. Stoob
Hi. I have the same boots and this happened to my last multistrada I had (13 plate GT). When I got my new multistrada (67 plate)I put some paint protection tape on the clutch cover and took the burr off the plastic cover that covers the screw on the boot, if that makes sense?.
Just found this on Ducati.ms. Apparently that's 50,000 miles worth of trouser rubbing...I think I'll stop worrying and live with my little bare patch.
