Hi folks, I've just picked up my 2016 821 Monster and noticed that the battery optimiser plug is under the seat, does anyone know which optimate converter lead is required. Many Thanks
Congrats on the new bike. More knowledgeable folk will come along to correct me, but I think that’s specifically for the Ducati charger. You can buy a optimate-M79-047 (£22.95 from chainspeed.co.uk). Alternatively, you can just run leads of the battery & cable tie them in a convenient place (or run them under the seat) & use your current optimate. Occasionally a Ducati OEM comes up for sale on here.
I visited the Optimate stand at the Milan bike show, they were not at the NEC. We looked at leads for the Ducati underseat plug and a solar charger system for my nieces Monster. The chap told me that the Lithium battery that I had put on my Supersport will be flat in 3 weeks. He must have been selling chargers, because it never goes flat.
