Was out this morning and all was good, gave it a handful quite a few times in all gears. O d particular time I gave it full throttle in third and can't make it out wether the clutch slipped or I spun up the rear wheel? On a Ducati 1198 2010 model non traction control.... Gave it a handful again and all was good ???? Surely if the clutch slipped it would do it again and again???? What u reckon ? Danny
Did the back twitch? Could you feel it in the seat of your pants? I've had a clutch slip on my 999R years ago wound it on then tried again and all was fine, I hadn't long clean it so I put it down to water in the clutch which soon evaporated once it slipped
Just wind it on in third when you should be in second.......that ought to let you know if the clutch is slipping.
only in callington!! superb, so you know what im talking about....this was about 10am......and i was riding like a penis!! so hopefully i just spun up....cool. bends at the holland inn are particularly dodgy this time of year!!
hahahahha......totally relate to what your saying about powering out of the hatt roundabout, always loose gravel going both ways!!! I just love the callington road though, the stretch between Tamar view Nurseries right up to the first callington roundabout, ive often dreamed of a closed road, a bunch of guys and a time keeper!!! However, exiting the st mellion roundabout with the wheel in the air, never achieved that.....the wheel lifts and usually i shit myself
Really??? well thats where i also drink.....i was in there on friday night, Bat faced when i left at 01:00!!!!!!
Was in there with Rich Williams, Darren Doney etc etc, Rich owned the williams forde car garage at the hatt roundabout until recently.....you may know him???
Some good friends of mine Pat and lisa Phelan do the calstock thing every year, i always seem to be at sea for it!!!!
The Plot thickens!!!! I'm an Ex Submariner!!! left in 2008.......did 12 years, left as a killick UC.....your son is'nt my good friend Paul Pridmore by any chance is it???????
Wheel spin!!! Hahahahahha!!!! More like you found 3rd for the first time and didn't know what the ferk was going on
I did the same the other night in fourth gear, with full throttle, however thought it might just be the new clutch plates bedding in ? No issues on the ride back so may have been tyre ? Or clutch
