Biggest question - more important than the reason for the dominance of the V4R and Bautista - has Shakey had a hair transplant?
That's why all the TT riders wiped the floor with the superbike lot in Monteblanco last week... You're comparing tennis with table tennis here, totally different disciplines. I don't think you can hide in MotoGP, WSBK or BSB either really. I suppose Dougie Lampkin is hiding away in trials, cowering from the big boys? I love road-racing, but it's daft to say that the MotoGP lot need to ride the Snaefell course to prove themselves. That Rossi lad is pretty handy on a bike, and he said "no way"... doesn't mean that someone like Davy Morgan is inherently more of a racer.
All these boys and girls for that matter are at the top of the talent curve..... I saw John Hopkins at croft in very damp weather and he absolutely monstered a corner with the wheel spinning all the way round the curve with the bike on its side... Awesome........ Talent and a good bike will always show through and AB is a very talented 250 champ
50% Batty, 50% Ducati V4R. The bike is bloody fast though, theyll knock the revs on that for sure. Still think Batty will win though.
AB was unlucky to lose a motop ride ,its not as if he was at the back of grid ,he is a top 10 finisher.
Did he mention his other rider is performing like a nob and consistently being beaten by independent team riders on Yamaha's
No, but he did mention Ducati would be offering the wonder rider Marco Melandri a contract if the absolutely shite Chas Davis cannot get back to full fitness and get used to the bike he had very little testing on, tuff guy that Gigi.
If Bautista wins WSB this year what's the betting he will be drafted into the works Moto GP team for 2020
Who knows, perhaps Dorna would offer him more money to remain in WSBK if he has a cracking season and provides the basis for a Dave vs Rea 2020 grudge match? It seems like in the world of “sport entertainment “ that such contrivances can be lucrative for a rider. Perhaps more so in a flagging class that needs the boost.
I read somewhere that it is written into Bautista's contract that if he wins the WSBK Championship he gets to go back to MGP.
With the exception of Jonny Rea there's not another Brit rider capable of winning a championship at world level unless I've missed a budding superstar
