Software analysis shows CO trim at -51. The bike will start and idle for 30 seconds before stalling. The bike has a 96517906B ecu which I believe to be a DP unit designed for its Termi slips-ons(?). The lambda sensor is still in situ and connected. No warning light displays on the clock when I disconnect the sensor. I have tried to adjust the trim: JPDiag greys out and locks. I can adjust the figures in Guzzidiag but it has no tangible effect. Tuneecu has a real time effect and the bike runs sweet for about a minute before stalling. So four questions: 1. Is 96517906B a DP unit 2. Can the CO trim be adjusted on this ecu? 3. Is -51 very lean? 4. Assuming I can re-educate the ecu , how do I make the trim adjustments stick via Tuneecu? Any help will me more than appreciated
1. S4RS DP full system ECU 2. Yes 3. The figure in the diagnostic software is just arbitrary. It is not a CO reading. You need a gas analyser to set CO. You can do it by trial and error by increasing/decreasing CO and getting highest idle rpm 4. Can not advise Re TuneECU. In JPDiag you set the CO figure, press test to see effect of setting and within 5 secs press set to store setting.
Just run the map ref through the JPDiag Database and 96517906B is listed for both the slip Ons and Full system. The map will allow the lambdas to be removed.
