can you adjust the position of the gear selector, mine is a bit low and with an injury hard to get my toe under it. Don’t want to bugger up the quick shifter either
Yes....coarse adjustments are done with the clamp/spline arrangement but they are fiarly big movements fine adjustments are done on the rod itself, one of the rose joints is a LH thread and the other RH thread so after slackening the nuts, the rod should turn and let you adjust things the caveat to this is be careful with the QS, dont twist the wire (if it has one on the factory one)
On the 1260 s with the quick shifter its a little different. You loosen the one lock nut on the shaft, then remove the bolt connected to the lever and twist the shaft until at the required length. Then put back together. I think its 10 turns out from fully in from the factory If i remember correctly.
Do use ample amounts of grease on the rod screw. Water gets in and rust seizes the screw. I snapped mine trying to set it free ...
