Its all about the power delivery!,ride a 996 strada and you have a bench mark ,748 much the same just less power but a bit more nimble , 996SPS and this is where you say FOOK IN' HELL as I said all about the power and the way it comes in........ by the way there is a foggy rep in Carl Harrisons (Suffolk) for about £11-12K Gav.
Don't do it mate!!!! You love that bike and you'll never find another one as good as that! Believe me, a few months down the line you'll regret it.....
Ha ha - wasn't looking for a prize but if any one is looking for a very early 916 in relatively unmolested condition I would be open to sensible offers.
I've been a looking today, oh yes. Seen two I like, a nice low mileage 996SPS and for £3k less an early standard 916 biposta with the old decals. So dilemma is - Old decal clad 916 which I like the original look of, but is only a standard biposta OR for £3.5k more get later version 996SPS. Well decisions decisions my Ducati friends, what would you do?
Yeah chap I was speaking to mentioned later 996SPS engines are better on the road than the earlier ones.
